Description of the job profile
The nursing auxiliary is specifically trained to assist a nurse, under their supervision, regarding care, education and logistics, within the framework of activities coordinated by the nurse in a structured team.
The job is carried out in a community (hospitals, rest homes, nursing home…) and at home.
It was described in a decree of the 12th of January 2006 setting nursing activities that can be carried out by nursing auxiliaries and the conditions in which nursing auxiliaries can perform those acts.

- - Technical and vocational upper secondary school (5th and 6th years), “people assistance” section, “people assistance” sector.
- Adult education, vocational upper secondary education, training “polyvalent home and community service auxiliary” (1,560 periods).
