Description of the job profile
The engineer’s duties bring them to develop:
- Scientific and technical skills that are the base of the trade to think and act according to industrial realities;
- Management abilities to provide solutions, use results of researches and realise them in the industrial context. This requires method, creativity and the ability to work in team;
- Soft skills to become a leader, a manager, open to human realities associated to the work environment.
For a complete integration of a project from its conception, the industrial engineer often works in a team made of several disciplines, such as marketing, finances, research & development, production, ... The engineer is responsible for the final project, its manager and organiser.
The globalisation of industrial activities involves a certain mobility, adaptation to other cultures and using foreign languages.
Customer relationship plays a big part in improving the image of the company. Taking into account economic, financial and social stakes is becoming as indispensable as dealing with technical problems.
