Previous Experience
Most companies have their own sales strategy so no previous experience is required, but specific training will be normally provided by the company.
Personal Attitude
Extrovert, comfortable when talking to unknown people. Availability to work a flexible schedule. Making enough appointments to meet the needs of all customers could mean that sales representatives sometimes need to put in longer hours. This could include working evenings and weekends. They would often cover a wide geographical area and spend a lot of time driving to visit customers. When not on the road, they could be based in a local or regional sales office, or they could work from home. Some jobs may involve travel abroad if the company sells to overseas customers.
