This gynaecologist work in a private office. General secondary studies followed by a university curriculum to learn medicine led him to find work right after his studies.
Christian-François Kairis insists on the importance of the educational background as soon as primary school. He thinks many bases were provided to him in primary school, where mathematics, French and the way he could use his head to learn history, geography etc. have helped his whole life.
Continuation in secondary school, an outright intellectual path with learning of Latin and Greek, this type of thinks that are somewhat dead and may seem useless, is just a training. You can get bored in some classes you do not see the point of, but you learn how to use your brain, to study; useful training for higher studies.
Currently, he does everything by himself in his office (manager, employee, treasurer, secretary…). It was made possible by the Internet and distance connecting.
Should he hire staff, he mentions secretarial skills (appointment, mailing, replies to colleagues…).

The gallery of videos is very useful because watching a video can be friendlier for young people and it’s better than ask them to read a book or a magazine. In addiction I find good to admit people speaking in their native language (with subtitles) because that may help the interviewed to be sincere. Then I like the choice to film different kind of successes people: entrepreneurs, employees and artists/free-lance. In particular I find more interesting the success people (3rd section of interviews) because they are the most spontaneous and close to the project and plan of young students.

I believe the videos are a great incentive to students to pursue their dreams while also dedicating themselves to studying. The speakers are all passionate about what they are doing. This is the true factor that motivates students to stay dedicated and learn. The fact that the speakers are representatives of so many different professional paths offers a diverse and multi-lateral perspective on what working means. Also their varied educational backgrounds and life stories bear proof that there is not a single path to success but there is an equal share of luck, opportunity and determination in each case.

Interviewing people who have at least the baccalaureat is a way to motivate students to continue their studies. The videos teach that life is long and that you can do different trainings and different jobs. Studies help to organize one’s thoughts, to acquire different skills. However, many of the interviewees come from general studies and that might be demotivating for students in the technical and professional studies. For these students, they should watch the videos with an adult who could direct them. Where they can’t find concrete answers, they might find opportunities and hope.

Presenting this section with videos is very interesting for the students. The interviews are a way to encourage them to continue their studies because many of the interviewees succeeded thanks to a degree. It is even more interesting in the case of a person who first obtained a certificate of professional competence and then who has the equivalent of a Master degree.
