Motivating students is one of the greatest challenges instructors face. There are three general indices of motivation: choice, effort, and persistence. Students may be intrinsically and extrinsically motivated to learn. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation exist not a single continuum and students may often have multiple goals for the same course. Students usually direct their behavior toward activities that they value and in which they have some expectancy of success.

In order to enhance the motivation of the students, we recomend 3 ways in which teachers can support their students:

Capitalize on students' existing needs: Use student's interest and natural curiosity appeal aid in motivation. Students will be motivated to learn when the course is structured in a way that students learn best when incentives for learning in a classroom satisfy their own motives for enrolling in the course. There is a wide range of needs students may bring to the classroom ranging from the need to learn something in order to complete a particular task or activity or the need to seek new experiences to the need to succeed and do well and the need to feel involved and to interact with other people. Satisfying such needs is vital in supporting learning.

Make students active participants in learning: Students learn by doing, making, writing, designing, creating, and solving. Passivity diminishes students' motivation and curiosity. Students should be engaged in asking them to interact, suggest approaches to a problem or guess the results of an experimentin order to learn effectively .

Ask students to analyze what makes their classes more or less "motivating": One way to measure what motivates students is to ask what type of lecture has been the most motivating and what type of class has been the least. To build intrinsic motivation, teachers must build a climate of understanding and trust.

The strength of this module is to gather (and remind) important theoretical principles (as learning styles, multiple intelligences…) and practical advice to cultivate the students’ talents and interests,for example planning extracurricular activities, developing entrepreneurial experiences at school, etc.

The most interesting and functional section for the type of students F.Datini IPS is the "SKILL & JOBS", to deepen the profile of the professionals and the levels of skills within the school.
Furthermore, the analysis of the job profiles of the different countries involved in the project highlights the actual demand in the labor market. It would be useful to have in the Italian language test to use them in school with our students. The clearly structured site, has a dress simple and straightforward graphics, and is quite simple to find the inserted content

The module focuses on how to unveil the interests and aptitudes of students in order to plan and implement personalized educational paths and guidance services which successfully valorise students’ talents. As balancing theory and practice is one of the principles of this tool the second module starts from theoretical considerations on interests, aptitudes and key competences as well as school autonomy and learning styles, which are practically supported by useful hands-on curricular and extracurricular activities, teaching methods used to capitalize on students’ interests and skills and an impressive collection of best practices, experiences, success stories as well as tips on how to use them in class. The chapter also highlights the important of parent involvement in children’s development and success at school and in life.
